Description |
Students from URACCAN and Bicu-Cium University carried out an evaluation of forest status and impacts of logging in two sites. For both sites various indicators for stand composition and structure were evaluated, in plots of 50m x 50m. In Layasiksa three productive strata and mammal abundances were evaluated. In Las Crucetas the condition of 19 stands, that will be harvested in coming years, were evaluated. sampling desing in Crucetas Plots 50m x 50m , spaced 300m appart, all vegetation > 10 DBH was measured Plots 25m x 50m, all vegetation 5-10 DBH was measured sampling design in Layasiksa Plots 50m x 50m , spaced 300m appart, all vegetation > 10 DBH was measured
