Description |
The main objective of the phase 2 study of MAP was to measure coverage and quality of coverage indicators based on publicly available geographic maps, the population census, and the use of lot quality assurance sampling (LQAS). Furthermore, it was equally aimed to estimate access to condoms and Lubrica in high risk areas (hotzones and border towns). Furthermore, for the purpose of this survey, coverage and quality of coverage, access and equity of access were defined as described below. To estimate coverage and quality of coverage indicators, Nineteen (19) localities were visited in each of the six (6) geo-political zones of Nigeria resulting in a total of 114 localities visited. These localities were selected based on probability proportional to size (PPS) after the ordering of the geographical locations. Lists of localities in Nigeria were provided by the National Population Commission (NPC).
