Description

This is a replication dataset for the manuscript titled: "Validity and reliability of the Neurodevelopmental Screening Tool (NDST) in screening for neurodevelopmental disorders in children living in rural Kenyan coast."

The dataset includes individual-level data for survey participants aged 6-9 years living in Kilifi county Kenya who were prospectively recruited between 2015-2016 , to estimate the prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders. The data were collected by trained field workers and neuropsychological assessors in two stages. Stage one involved community level screening of randomly selected children while stage two was a confirmatory stage where all those who screened positive in stage one and a proportion of those who screened negative were assessed bytrained neuropsychological assessors.

A data dictionary with variable descriptions and value labels provided is included in the package.
