Description |
The numbers of monks or nuns listed for each monastery were entered into a spreadsheet format by the late Guge Tsering Gyalpo from his hand-written entries in notebooks based on historical archival sources according to dzong in Tibet under the administration of the Lhasa-based Ganden Podrang government ca. 1642-1959. Data for monasteries with nuns, however, are only included for 18 dzong in a largely contiguous region of U.
