Description This file contains all the supporting information for the published article.
1) Data S1 are ArcGIS shape files that include primary surface ruptures, secondary ruptures, and other cracks associated with the 2021 Maduo earthquake, interpreted based on field observations and UAV orthophotos.
2) Table S1 shows the Sentinel-2 images used in the sub-pixel image correlation. Tables S2, S3 and S4 list geological measurements of coseismic left-lateral and vertical offsets, and image correlation-based displacements, respectively. Table S5 provides the results of regional stress inversions.
3) Figures S1 to S4 present supplementary figures illustrating the descriptions or supporting the arguments in the main text, including the displacement field derived from pixel correlation of pre- and post-earthquake satellite images, examples of field and UAV photos of the surface rupture, field, image-based measurements of coseismic horizontal and vertical offsets.
