Description |
Obesity is regarded as a major public health problem and the fifth leading cause of mortality worldwide. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of obesity, evaluate the relation between BMI and dietary habits, and identify the association between obesity and hypertension among adults residing in a low-cost urban settlement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A total of 311 residents from PPR Sri Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, participated in the questionnaire. 100 residents had their anthropometric measurements taken which are applicable for this study. |
