Description An investigation entitled "Effect of growing media on growth and flowering of calendula (Calendula officinalis L.)" was conducted to find out suitable media for calendula. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design (CRD) with seven treatmentcombinations replicated thrice. The observations on various growth and flowering parameters were recorded. Among the growing media, T6 (Soil + Cocopeat + Vermicompost) showed the best results with respect of days taken to bud appearance, days taken to first flower appearance, number of flowers per plant, duration of flowering (days), fresh and dry weight of flower, flower size, individual flower life (days), the maximum postharvest soil organic carbon, maximum postharvest available nitrogen, postharvest available phosphorus, postharvest available potassium. However, the least performance of all of the above parameters were recorded with T5 (Sand + Cocopeat).
