Liver surgery is considered highly intricate among surgical
procedures due to its substantial risks and potential for
complications. Liver failure after hepatic resection, a severe
complication occurring in approximately 8-10% of patients
undergoing significant liver surgery, stands as the primary cause
of morbidity and mortality. Appropriate surgical techniques and
intensive care management are important in preventing. This
study outlines risk factors, occurrence, prevention and
management of liver failure after hepatic surgery.
