Resistance to wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceris), dry root rot (Rhizoctonia bataticola [Macrophomina phaseolina]), black root rot (F. solani), wet root rot (R. solani) and collar rot (Corticium rolfsii) was evaluated at ICRISAT Center. Seed obtained from the Directorate of Pulses Research, Kanpur, India, was sown during the seasons 1985/86 to 1988/89 in a randomized block design, with a row of the susceptible cultivar JG62 between every second row of test lines. The mortality of JG62 in all 4 seasons was 100%. The lines Avrodhi and ICCC48, which were tested in all 4 seasons, had a mortality of
