Description |
Non-nodulating (Nod-) lines of Cajanus cajan can become contaminated with nodulating (Nod+) plants. These were easily identified when grown in low-N soil due to their vigorous growth, but in high-N soils plant removal at maturity to check for root nodules was the only way to distinguish between the 2 genotypes.
