Description |
Twenty groundnut genotypes were evaluated for their genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance under normal growing environment, mid-season drought and end of season drought in a field experiment conducted in Karnataka, India during the rabi and summer seasons of 1999-2000. Under normal growing environment, crop growth rate, pod growth rate and specific leaf nitrogen content were positively correlated with pod yield and negatively correlated with specific leaf area. Under mid-season drought, specific leaf area was negatively correlated with pod yield, Under the end of season drought, specific leaf nitrogen content, pod growth rate, 100-kernel weight and sound mature kernel percentage were positively correlated
