Description |
In field studies carried out at ICRISAT, India, in 1980 and 1982, stomatal closure at midday in water stressed plants of two genotypes (BJ104 and line 112) prior to flowering was associated with higher leaf ABA levels than those found in flowering plants. Differences in ABA levels between flowering and preflowering plants were small or absent in Serere 39 and B282, which had lower leaf water potentials when sampled than BJ104 and line 112
