| Abstract/Description: | Pointed gourd germplasm collected from eastern Up., Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam were evaluated against root knot nematode during 6-2007 at ICAR-IIVR, Varanasi (U.P.). As symptom observed from the distance as patchy appearance of stunted plants with reduced vigour. The roots digging carried out as per f infection and whole plant was uprooted and gall formation, sequence, root weight, gall formed sized and its number were counted. High intensity of gall formation was recorded in four lines i.e. U-34/BP/DR/44, VRPG-2, VRPG-18 and VRPG-96. Medium intensity was recorded in DR/AK/4, VRPG-50 VRPG-87 and VRPG-24. Low intensity of gall formation was recorded in VRPG-117, DR/AK/5, VRPG-07 and U-34/BP/DR/411. |
