dc.description.abstract | The continued occurrence of foodborne illness is not evidence of the failure of our food safety system. In fact, many of our prevention and control efforts have been and continue to be highly effective. In advanced countries like US where food supply is one of the safest in the world, however, significant food borne illness continues to occur. Despite great strides in the area of microbiological food safety, much remains to be done. In countries like India.
