| Abstract/Description: | Currently, the world is moving to the post-antibiotic era where in the physicians are left out with limited or no antibiotics for the therapy. In this context, there is a need for alternative to antibiotics. A promising candidate for the alternative to antibiotics is Bacteriophage. Because of its various advantages over other alternatives, the search for repositories of bacteriophages across the globe. The current article describes about the antibiotics, alternatives, advantages, and limitations of bacteriophages. |
